What’s your pro-tip for success at KU? 

Do your best in your classes, ask questions whenever you have them, establish a personal relationship with as many professors as possible, develop your writing, get involved with research, learn one or more foreign languages, find an extra-curricular activity to engage with, and study abroad. 

Do you have photos or mementos in your office that have a special story?  

Yes, I have photos of my children when they were younger, and creative projects of my past students.

Do you have any furry family members, or are you a plant parent? 

I have a beautiful German Shepherd, who is my protector. 

What was the specific moment or book that made you realize, "I want to study this forever"? 

I had a couple of teachers whose classes made me think that I wanted to do what they did and the way that they did it.
