Participate regularly in events mentioned in the Calendar of Events sent to your email by the department in which you are majoring. Make sure you are on the department mailing list of your major.  

When I was a Freshman… (What was your freshman experience like?)  

I gained ten pounds and never went to class. I had no life skills. 

Do you have photos or mementos in your office that have a special story?  

Yes.  One plaque of a news story about an Ethnographic Cookbook I published in Creole English. 

Do you have any furry family members, or are you a plant parent? 

 A furry Golden Retriever named Winston. 

What was the specific moment or book that made you realize, "I want to study this forever"?   

A class with an anthropology professor at Tulane on North American Indians.
