Biography —

Hello, I am Melissa Johnson. I have had the privilege of working in the field of career development in higher education for over 20 years and specialize in one-on-one career coaching, resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, and job search assistance.  In my current role as an online instructor, I have the opportunity to help KU students, near and far, realize their academic and career goals through our online Professional Career Management (LA&S 475), Global Career Management (LA&S 485), and Internship Exploration (LA&S 490) courses.  I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love every day and work with amazing students during one of the most exciting transitions in their life.

M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Career Counseling, University of Missouri, 2000

When I’m not working, you can usually find me enjoying the great outdoors, planning my next travel adventure with my family, or running after my tireless pups. I am also a huge sports nut and love all things Royals, Chiefs, and Jayhawks. Rock Chalk!
