Biography

Hi, I’m Donna and I am the Instructor/Coach for UNIV 101 EAS.  My mission is to support your growth as a KU scholar and to help you identify the supports you need to become your best self.  I am here to assist, motivate and encourage you to take on the challenges of being a first- year KU scholar.    Working together with the rest of your KU support team, you will be able to identify your strengths, improve in areas where you feel challenged and explore your personal and career interests.

Education

A.S. in Nursing, Cerritos College
B.S. in Adult and Career Education, California State University, San Bernardino, CA
M.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on Urban Education

Teaching

UNIV 101 Enhanced Academic Skills is a course all about YOU and KU. You will learn how to navigate KU and use your skills and experiences to craft a KU story that serves the person that you are and that you want to become-both here at KU and in your future career.

Creative Works

I was born and raised in California and love the outdoors.  I recently went on a three-month journey living full-time in a camper van I named Dolly and traveling through the western US with my super cute, exceptional sweet pup named Holly.  I’m a bit of thrill seeker, having jumped from a plane, rafted many a river and hiked many a mile.  I have one son who is a Major and Ranger in the Army and in November I get to add the title of Grandma to my resume, and I can’t wait!!!
