FAQs

What is the Hopes & Dreams Survey?

The Hopes & Dreams Survey asks first-time freshmen to share their reasons for attending KU and their personal and career goals. By learning more about our students and their goals, we can provide more customized services that align with their career goals. Over the course of their KU education, students will be asked to complete the survey multiple times so we can track changes and career progression. Ultimately, these survey responses will be connected to post-graduate outcomes so that KU has better data on how well we serve our students and graduates.

When should the survey be completed?

The survey is open now! We ask that you complete the survey by September 3, 2023. This will allow us to compile data and begin identifying how we can help students achieve their career goals.

I think I completed the survey, but I don’t remember?

Don't worry! Go ahead and try again. Since the survey is accessed through single sign-on (SSO), it will only allow you to complete it once. You'll receive a notification if you try accessing it again and have already completed it.

Will our survey results be shared?

Great questions. Publicly, the data will only be shared at the aggregate level with all identifying information removed. We will provide individualized data to our campus partners if the data are used to directly enhance the educational experience.
